2026 Event Dates
We will be open to the public on the following weekends:
- May 9-10 (Mother's Day weekend)
- June 20-21* (Father's Day weekend)
- August 1-2
- September 12-13
*Our June run always takes place on Father’s Day weekend. Please note that the June 2026 dates on some printed fliers are incorrect.
Demonstration run hours are 10am-3pm each day, with a break from 12pm-1pm for lunch. Admission and parking are both free. No advanced reservations needed.
Docent-led tours are offered throughout the day. Feel free to join a tour or roam the grounds on your own. There is much to see besides the milling process too! Make sure to visit the original office, learn about blacksmithing, relax in the gardens, watch the draft horses, and say hello to the goats.
We Run on Donations
Our 100+ year old Steam Powered Sawmill depends on donations to help pay for our continued operating expenses throughout the year.

Notes For Your Visit
Purchase a delicious hot lunch (cash, credit and PayPal/Venmo accepted!) from the Cook Shack in our redwood picnic grounds, or pack your own picnic.
If you take pictures, the best time to record the steam engines is in the morning when the temperature is lowest to show off the steam.
Dress in layers. We are only 7 miles from the Pacific Ocean and temperatures change quickly. Please consider wearing flat shoes. You will be walking on dirt, sawdust, and uneven terrain. High-heals are discouraged.
Due to the nature of our work we do not permit dogs, alcohol, smoking, or recreational drugs on our premises.
